split ends? Because I have one of those wet 2 straight straightening irons but I get split ends and my hair looks 80%deprived of moistier!
Is There Any possible way to Straighten your hair without making it look really dry and after a while, having?
I suggest that you consider tossing those "WET STRAIGHTENER'S" Away! Those are just commercialized straighteners that do absolutely nothing good for your hair.
Try drying your hair before using any type of straightener, then brush your hair out and apply a hair lotion, or hair gloss. I see that some people suggested purchasing a moisturizer from random stores such as Target, Wal- Mart, Walgreen's, etc... If you want your hair completely fried and dead, Go Ahead! But if you want a Healthy, Shiny, Rejuvenated Look!! ... Try going to a beauty salon or store and ask for a moisturizer that fits your hair. Let them know what you are trying to achieve for your hair and I promise they will help.
Personally, I suggest the Universal Styling Cream from Aveda. This is a hair Lotion that suits any type of hair. It replenishes your hair with the nutrients it needs to give your hair a nice, healthy look. It also helps hold your hair for whatever style you are trying to achieve. It's somewhat pricey but worth it!
Good Luck!

When using a flat iron, make sure your hair is completely dry. This will help with the split ends.

straightening naturally curly hair is damaging it. Not surprising then that your hair looks damaged. Live with the curls.

This isn't a direct answer, but I heard that Wet 2 Straight does cause split ends. Any hair straightner for that matter. Hair just has a tendency to not be so flexible when it's still wet.
As for the dry bit, maybe mousse can help, or gel?

I had the same problem. You can buy a spray that you spray on right before you straighten and it protects your hair. (said my hairdresser) i have one called Redken hot sets, thermal setting mist. :)

Put a serum on your hair while its still wet, it acts like a protective agent and will help protect it. You should also get a hot oil treatment every month to help put back moisture into your hair and regular trims will help about every 6-8 weeks normally. trust me I'm a hairdresser!!

Yes, make sure your hair is dry or you will boil the water in your hair which is sure to dry out your hair! I blow dry and lightly spray on Rapid Hair Repair (think its Redken). That dries in a few seconds then I straighten it. The spray will seal in moisture and help protect from heat damage. Also, there are some really good ceramic straighteners (like CHI) that won't snag your hair.

I have THE most curly hair known to mankind and i bought a CHI flat iron. Girl, everytime i straighten my hair (which has been like everyday for the past 2 years) my hair looks like silk! I'll admit, i DO have damaged hair, but you would never know because of my flat iron. They are pretty expensive..around $180, but TRUST me, it is soooo worth it. And they last forever. Garnier Fructis has a Long %26amp; Strong Force anti-split ends preventative and repairing serum that works great. I use that quite often and it really helps protect my hair from my styling it all the time. I have naturally curly hair and the serum also works to define my curls a bit more so I don't have to use a ton of the more drying types of products like mousse, gel or hair spray. It can get pricey though, I think I pay about $8 for 150 ml. If you put it on your hair when wet, though, and use a round brush while drying, you can get pretty good straightening results. You also don't need as much when you use it with wet hair, so the bottle will last longer.

try putting on some hair serum, such as frizz ease etc, on your hair whilst its wet. then allow it to dry, before goin at it with hair straightners. you can also try the hot oil treatment, which is absolutely brill and makes your hair look healthier and shinier after a few goes, this myt even help you love your curls, like it did me. and then finally get a set of better hair straightners- GHD for example.
