whenever i straighten my hair it lays flat but i want like some volume or something. does gel work? plz help thank you.

Yeah, that's scene hair. Those kids spend hours with hairspray and teasing combs to do that. If anyone's hair does that naturally, that's not good. But gel will only make your hair curl back up. Get some sort of volumizing wax, hairspray, and comb your hair UP with a fine tooth comb, then sort of pat it down and top with hairspray.
