It is ok to straighten you hair if it is colored. My friend does all the time. Just wait a 2-4 days (depending on intensity of dye). You may want to use a special product just in case. I use a gel called Make It Straight! by VO5 for heat protection. It keeps my hair from drying out when i use a iron. Its cheap and everyone who uses it loves it!

I would wait a couple of days. when you do straighten it again put it on a light setting.
