When I straighten my hair it never stays straight.?
It could possibly be your straightener. Small straighteners tend to straighten your hair a LOT better then the wide ones, because it gets really hot and STAYS hot.
Also, do you use a heat spray on your head when you straighten it? Try using "Turn up the Heat: Flat Iron Protection" from Beyond the Zone Pro Formula. It's in a clear orange bottle and you can get it at Sally's Beauty supply.
I use both of those items and my hair stays straight for a week without curling.
Also do you wash your hair everyday? Washing your hair everday actually isnt good for it. It takes all the natural oils that make the hair soft, and makes it dry, which creates frizz. You could try an anti frizz shampoo or straightening shampoo or conditioner. It's good to try out different products to see which ones work really good on your hair.
Hope this helped! :D

I don't know why kind of flat iron you use, but in order for you to get true results you really need to spend a couple of bucks. Flat irons sold at stores like Walmart and CVS aren't as good as most. I use the following flat iron (its ceramic, and the gold plating is better for your hair):

Anti-frizz treatments are good, but you should also look into a product that helps protect your hair from the intense heat.
When I straighten my hair it never stays straight.?
what straightners do you have?
i'd recommend GHD's but always blowdry your hair with the cold air out of a hair dryer and use lots of hair spray that all i can think of.

My hair was doing the same thing. Use a product like Flat Out or Bio silk and it will help with your problem. Also when you are blowing your hair out straight, when it is dry and straight use the cool button on the blow dryer. Blow your whole head with the cool setting to set your hair. Then use the straightening iron and hair spray. This should help if not then you will need to find a heavy conditioner to weigh your hair down.

Y'know, sweetheart, if your hair is doing that in spite of using straightener, then maybe your body is trying to tell you something. The qualities of your hair (color, texture, amount of curl/wave/frizz/kink) are genetic, and tints, highlights, dyes, bleaches, straighteners, perms, body waves, etc. work temporarily, but in the end, your hair is what it is. A better bet might be to find a style that accents and shows off the natural look of your hair.
Pretty nervy coming from some old fart who's fashion sense consists of living in cutoff jeans and NFL replica shirts pretty much 24/7, huh? But the thing is, a good cut and style can make any kind of hair look hot. Besides, there are dozens of women I work with that would give five years off their life spans to have hair with the kind of body yours seems to have.
Also, I was never real keen on putting chemicals on one's hair. Mine started turning gray while I was still in high school; I don't plan on dying it back to black anytime soon.
Go ahead, experiment with a new 'do...I'm sure you'll find something that will make you look naturally drop dead gorgeous...and your hair will appreciate it, too.
