How to straighten short hair? HELP?

I just got my haircut, and it looks really nice because my hairstylist straightened for me. Tomorrow I'm buying a new 1" straightener (Remington most likely, I don't have too much money) The hair on the back of my head is about 2 inches long and the sides a little longer(the top is easily done).

Can someone please give me some tips on how to straighten the hair behind my head? I was practicing with my 2" earlier today and it was way too hard and basically impossible. I have really thick hair curly hair. Please help!?

How to straighten short hair? HELP?

what i would do is to select a small amount of hair and hold it up, then slowly place the straightener on it. make sure it doesn't touch your head. make sure you do all your hair like this and dont leave the straightener on your hair for too long, it might burn it. also make sure you let the straightener heat up. happy straightening. dont worry if your family doesn't want u to straighten your hair. a lot of guys straighten there hair now a days and its your decision, not theirs.

How to straighten short hair? HELP?

well, you'll just have to wait until u get ur 1" straightener. don't worry you'll have plenty of time to learn how to straighten it, and if this is like u have to get it done now ask ur mom or someone around ur house to help. that way you can get the spots you can't see yourself.

How often do you have to use a flat-iron to straighten your hair (for a guy)?

Hi there,

I recently asked about how to get smooth and silky hair, and I guess my hair is straight, frizzy, and kinda thick and someone linked me to this webpage ( http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_r1... )that has some before and after pictures of people who used a Sedu flat-iron to straighten out their hair, and I've got to say the results look amazing, and it's probably just the thing I need to straighten out my hair, and once it's straight, I can keep it clean and soft with shampoo and conditioner.

I guess most of the people who use flat-irons are girls, but the pictures do have some guys using it, so maybe it's the same for both sexes. Anyway, I was wondering for those of you who don't normally have straight hair, or even those of you who do have straight hair and use a flat-iron:

1) How long does it take you to straighten your hair with the flat-iron?

2) How long does the ironing last, like how many days before you have to do it again?

3) Any recommendations?

Thanks

How often do you have to use a flat-iron to straighten your hair (for a guy)?

NIKIGIRL is an idiot, of course guy's can use a flat iron to straighten their hair if they want to. Try thinking outside of the box for once. What are you some dumb blonde bimbo? I bet you'll say something stupid like "guys go to hair or beauty salons or get their eyebrows waxed?" as well. Stay in school, retard.

How often do you have to use a flat-iron to straighten your hair (for a guy)?

if you have kinky hair, i don't think it will help much, but you could still try. just a warning though, to get hair looking like that in the pictures you have to spend time on it. like, for long hairs, half hour a day at least. and you shouldn't iron your hair when it's wet. this just damages your hair more. the ironing last as long as you don't wash your hair.

guys flatiron their hair?

If you straighten hair everyday will hair still grow or will anything bad happen?

I'm african american, and what is the best way to grow hair?

If you straighten hair everyday will hair still grow or will anything bad happen?

i have african american hair too. if you straighten your hair everyday, then you'll dry it out. not only that, but you may get split ends and it may get cut up.

just straighten it once a week. put hair spray on it to keep it in place.

to grow my hair, i put olive oil in it. i use it as a conditioner.

If you straighten hair everyday will hair still grow or will anything bad happen?

well it will fry your hair (that happens to everyone)

If you straighten hair everyday will hair still grow or will anything bad happen?

your hair may turn dry.

If you straighten hair everyday will hair still grow or will anything bad happen?

If you use a straightener every day I hope that you will condition it well as it over time will dry your hair out and cause major breakage. Your hair will still grow but very slowly. The best way to get your hair to grow is to have it trimmed every 6 weeks to keep the split ends off.

Straighten Hair?

My hair is a little puffy. On the top it is wavy and a little straight but right when it gets to the bottom it becomes curly. I sometimes use a straightener but 1 day later it becomes curly and wavy again. How can I make it straight without using chemcials. Post I'm a goofy goober if you read ALL of this.

Straighten Hair?

I'm a goofy goober. lol

Leave conditioner in your hair for 3-5 minutes for extra therapy to make it soft and managable, and then rinse out with cold water, which will seal the cuticle around your hair and make it straight. If you can, use frizz-ease products for your hair or straightening creams. Just take a small amount and smooth it through the ends of your hair. Also, using a heat protection spray on your hair will seal the cuticle once you straighten it to make it straight longer. Good luck!

Straighten Hair?

i am not going to post im a goofy goober

Try Conair Hair dryers with brush attachments or flat irons they should work.

Straighten Hair?

I'm a goofy goober and why would you want sraight hair. I would die over havind hair like yours.

Straighten Hair?

Use a pre-heat hair straightening treatment before your straightener.

Straighten Hair?

My hair is the same.Use a straightener like the Maxi Glide by Maxius, about $70 from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It really works! There are microteeth in the plates, so it combs through your strands as opposed to just the patches a flat plate would go over, which also mattes your down. Also, use a heat protection spray before you straighten your hair! Be sure to apply a frizz serum after you finish straightening, as well as a leave-in conditioner like ThermaSilk, and always apply a light coat of hairspray. And you can't expect your hair to still be perfect the day after. You'll need to do some touch-ups. So don't get discouraged over that. . .%26lt;3

I'm a goofy goober. . .wtf? lol

Straighten Hair?

there is a shampoo and conditioner that straightens hair in the shower. ive heard of them but i dont exactly know their names. u could also do this: (found it on google)

Leave conditioner in your hair for 3-5 minutes for extra therapy to make it soft and managable, %26amp; then rinse out with cold water, which will seal the cuticle around your hair and make it straight. If you can, use frizz-ease products for your hair or straightening creams. Just take a small amount and smooth it through the ends of your hair. hope i helped and good luck!

Straighten Hair?

Well if your hair is like curly already then it wont stay straight forever. Well if u want it to be straight then your going to have to straightin it everyday. If i was u then i would get a whole new style for your hair.

Thank You

I have really curly hair and I want it to be straight, help!?

I don't want to use a straightening iron and I've heard natural oils work well. We use Mineral oil on my hair and tie it back when I sleep, but it's not really straight still, it's just really wavy. Does anyone know any natural oils that help straighten hair?

How can I achive this?

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

Well,

I hate to break the news, but some of those "Shiny Smooth" Hair pictures are photoshopped.

But, I do have a solution to mak you hair shinier and smoother.

Wash you hair in the shower, like normal, then turn the water to a colder setting, I would say, A little colder than lukewarm.

Then use your conditioner, and rinse it out with cold water. That usually helps my hair.

Or you can use Olive Oil in your hair, Lemon Juice, or...

I would recomend, Avacado oil.

It is very nutricious and does the job.

I hope that helped...

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

Get a really good conditioner and also use a smoothing cream or spray before you straighten your hair. It'll leave your hair frizz free, smooth, %26amp; shiny. =)

Hope this helps!

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

Have any kind of hair treatment like hot oil, hair spa, hair relax,etc...once a month, brush your hair before sleeping and shampoo and condition your hair every other day..Drink a lot of water, take vitamins and exercise.Eat healthy food especially foods that are rich in protein

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

use an extra moistuizing conditioner every time you wash. i would recommend using tresemme. and before you heat style, use sunsilks (purple kind) detangling spray. it detangles, adds tons of shine, and protects every strand of hair from heat.

i tried this and it worked on me.

good luck!

10 points?

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

and scratch ur scalp a bit to make sure it stays.

washrinse the conditonetr out with freezing cold water.

ur hair will be shiny. and smooth

also use the sunsilk care + repeair intnesievwef treatment, u rub it in and comb it out and u can striahgten ur hair and not ghave 2 worry about it sorry 4 spelling !!

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

Try spraying "spray starch" on it lightly - then straighten it in tiny sections so you can achieve the steamy heat - use the ceramic straighteners only because they are better and healthier as well.

Then smooth on shine serum from any good shampoo company that you like and then spray some shine serum over the other serum.

Blast cold air from your blow dryer over this lightly and then comb lightly.

You should be good to go!

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

try a leave in condition or redken 5th avenue NYC glass...it makes it smooth and shiny...i LOVE it

I have wavy/curly hair and I straighten it but how can I get it to be silky smooth?

Start with a good conditioner. I use Crema

conditioner by Terax ($22). This is the best conditioner you will ever use, it makes your hair feel like silk, but never weighs it down. Then, you need to use a serum that will smooth, protect, and make your hair shiny. I use Illuminating Serum Crystalli Liquid by AlfaParf ($28). This is really an awesome product. It is a yellow serum that has the consistency of an oil. It smooths your hair, protects it from damage, and it makes your hair really shiny, and it never weighs your hair down. You can put it on when your hair is wet, and again right before you straighten. I also use a CHI iron, ceramic irons are by far the best at achieving that "perfect, silky smooth hair" look.

I straighten my hair almost every day with a straightener. is there a product that i can put in my h

i usually shower at night and ,et my hair dry while i sleep. then in the morning i straighten my hair and i dont have to blow dry it since it is already dry. is there a product that i could use that i can put in my hair when its dry that will protect my hair from the heat? also do you know of any really good products that control fly aways? keep in mind that it would be nice if the products werent expensive

I straighten my hair almost every day with a straightener. is there a product that i can put in my hair?

I straighten my hair alot too. And yes, there are products u can use in dry hair: Herbal Essence None of your Frizziness. Not only is this a good product, it was voted 2007 best frizz cure by "self magazine" Also, another Herbal Essence, the "Breaks Over" leave in creme, can b used in dry hair, and helps restore the damage that heat styling does. Obviously these are cheap and can b found in any CVS, Target, or anywhere really! But, another product, to help u straighten your hair less, i don't know the name of it sry, but they sell it at CVS and it's this hairspray, that u use, and straightens your hair 4 u, my cousin is in love w/ it, maybe it'll work 4 u?! if ur instead, go to CVS and look in the shampoo isle. GOOD LUCK!

Herbal Essences has a spray for flat ironing. it's a pink bottle, runs about 2 to 3 dollars at target. Also you can try Tresemme or if they still make therma silk. I'm not sure if they do. Just visit Wal-Mart or Target and look at the hair products, you'll find something good and cheap!

There are all kinds of heat activated produts out there, just look and you will find them in every drug store!

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

ALso what is a good oil shine to use for your hair? What are the steps you use in order to straighten your hair???

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

1. On wet hair put a leave in conditioner on your hair (I use Straighten Up by Sunsilk, It leaves a very smooth silky feel that you want when you iron your hair plus it straightens your hair even more if you use the product line)

2. Blow dry hair completely till it is dry, this way there wont be as much damage. Also use a vented paddle brush when drying it out.

3. Next comes the iron.( I use a comb for this insted of a brush) Also add a little drop of Sunsilk to your hair to make it even more smooth.

Hope I helped!!

( Also check out Wikihow.com and type in straight hair it should give you tips and instructions on how to straighten your hair)

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

I got a buzz cut. been straight ever since.

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

i really cant answer that but i starred you cuz i have the same problem thats y i looked so if u get answers im comin!!!!!!!! good luck! lol

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

My hair gets a light wave to it if I let it air dry. My hair is nice enough, that if I blow dry it upside down when its damp, when its all dry I flip everything over and it stays straight for about 2 days.

Usually when I blow dry it like that its shiney and soft. To combat the heat damage that could happen to my hair, when I know I'm going to be blow drying I put extra conditioner in my hair.

I'm not a hair expert, but this is what I find to work.

People with more intense curling or wavyness can use a brush and carefully blow dry their hair straight using the brush. Worst come to worse you can use a hair straightener. Be careful with those though, they can easily ruin your hair.

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

buy a flat iron that is cermic NOT CONAIR! and with the gold colored plates. get those that have heting options from 1-25. that will let you choose the right heating option for you. I have a "gold n hot" ceramics and it works excellently. and my hair is very curly naturally. and no frizz in the rain and humidity. it costs about 40 US but it is worth every penny

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

i have a chi hair straightner and they work really well alot better then conair and other brands like that. I dont know a good oil but puttin some leave in conditioner or just regular conditioner works to make the stray hairs stay in place. For the steps i usually do the bottom layer of my hair and work up. It is eaiser if you have someone starighten the back for you.

How do you straighten out your hair really good so it's really straight???

If you are doing it yourself. After shampooing your hair blot dry (removing any access water) part hair in 4 sections, using a paddle or round vented brush begin blowing drying hair in 1/8 sections out of the 4 sections with a blowdryer with nozzle after doing that to the whole hair ( you can use clip to seperate the wet from dry hair), Use a silk infusion product (its a thermal protection for your hair and makes hair straight when flat ironing), use an iron like CHI ceramic iron flat iron in 1/8 sections till head is complete beginning from back. I am a beautician that have gotten the waviest, coarsest hair straight doing this, it will work for you to. Sorry such long directions. You can buy CHI on Amazon or Ebay!!! Good Luck!!

Straightened hair?

i want straight hair but my mom wont let me get it permatley or just 4 a little while..and i dont want any bad chemicals in my hair and i hate stragihtenign my hair everynight=[.. im getitng a hair ciut soon could i ask the soalon person 2 thin my hair out or is there another way? =

Straightened hair?

|I suggest not getting it permanently straightened. My mom did that and it cost $300+ for her. It looked great at first. But after less than a month, you still had to straighten it so it doesn't look wavy. I have really thick hair and it gets on my nerves! But I've never done that. I just decided to stop straightening my hair. I bought this shampoo from Bed Head called Bed Head : Control Freak, and my hair already is pretty straight and manageable.

Straightened hair?

uhhhhhhh......y cant u straighten ur hair..........oooookkkk tas wierd!!!!!!!!1

Straightened hair?

don't thin your hair because it just gets even more thicker. trust me. this happened to my friend and my mom. ask the salon the different ways to get your hair straight. fast and easy. or if you don't like any of the options, flaunt what you have. i'm sure you'll be able to find a cute way to wear it.

Straightened hair?

Dont waste your money on getting it done permantley at the salon it doesn't work well.

I always have my thined and you can also buy straightening shampoo and conditionor and ever since I have used that my hair has been easier to straighten.

You may have to invest in a $80 straightener. with mine it only takes about 5 minutes 10 minutes tops!!!

Straightened hair?

i straiten my hair everday too.... i get sick of it but i have to do it or else my hair is freakin ugly!!! but yeah my mom cuts hairs and my hair gets way THICK so my mom thins it out and it cuts down my strating time SO much i would do that cause straitening perms sometimes dont come out right or they dont last long-- my sister got one in china and it only lasted like one week and she did everything right .... so i would just thin out my hair

STRAITENERS WORK WELL TOO but even though they're expensive (( make sure you get a good one @ a good trusted store- bad ones will ruin your hair)) they're way worth it like it takes me five min every day ( when im done i hairspray it and then i put serum in it helps the strait stay in and your hair doesnt get frizzies)

once you get your hair cut straighting will work so much more!!!!!

Straightened hair?

go to sally beauty! they have all of these people there to help you. they have some products that work and use some chemicals, but they do NOT damage your hair! also, ask your stylist! they should know of some products!

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

I know this question may not be as important as others on here, but I have been saving my money for a VERY long time to get my older sister a hair straightner, a NICE one that will work like a PRO and last. She has R E A L L Y thick, wavy/curly, and LOOOOONG hair! I have heard about T3's, GHD, and even cheaper ones at like Walmart (which she has tried with no success) and I just want to know: what works? How good is it? Cost? Quailty? Even things like Tourmaline (or however you spell it) or Ceramic? I just want to get her something that heats quick, works GOOD without having to keep going over and over the strand of hair, and REALLY keeps the hair STRAIGHT. Also, if you know of any straightening hair products that work well, ESPECIALLY in humidity, I would LOVE to know about them, to go alone with the present. Please, I want to get her something REALLY great, and I only have one shot at it. Please let me know everything you can. Thanks so much!

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

You just described my hair. and my story. After trying about 10 diff kinds of hair straighteners, I finally paid money for an expensive professional one and I got results.

Try CHI hairproducts and the original model straightener. It works VERY well on thick hair without frizz or poofiness. Its a litle expensive appx 120 dollars, but you can find it cheaper on ebay. good luck!

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

I'm gonna go with chi! They're about 150+ has she tried frizz ease for the frizz? I happen to think frizz is sexy but that's just me (I have really thick curly hair too and I've just learned to accept the frizz lol) frizz ease made my hair feel nasty/gritty idk? But yeah chi is just about the best straightener you could get your sister without have a crap ton of money to blow.

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

The CHI is really god cuz it doesn't break your hair a lot like most straightners do and t doesn't damage it a lot either I use it and it works really well and it costs about 180 dlls, but maybe you can get it cheaper online. I've also heard that the Maxiglide which is sold on Tv is really good but you can check it out online.

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

Well, a CHI is one of the best flat irons, its expensive and you get them from a beauty brands. I got mine for 27.00 on ebay. If you can't spend a chunk of money like that at beauty brands which is like 79-100.00 dollars, get one from walmart. Frizz ease is good, get at walmart, Also if you use a paddle brush or round brush as you dry your hair. Make sure you are holding the dryer at a down ward andgel as you dry the hair while having a chunk of it on the brush as you brush downward. This helps alot of the frizz.

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

Chi, Global Beauty, Sedu

They all work the same, they are good ceramic strighters, pro good, around $110

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

well my sister is a hairdresser and can get the straightners from the baeuty stores you can only shop at if you have a lisence. deff. get a ceramic hairstraightner and dont get the crappy conair or cheap quality brands. my straightner is by MEGA HOT CERAMICS. it was around 60$ which is very cheap and i actually got it half off. it heats up in about 20 sec. and is fully heated in a min. it goes up to 400 degrees farenieght. no straightner garentees to keep the hair straight. it depends on the weather and the hair type. my straightner works very well and ive had it for over a year and a half.

good luck!

ps-

maxi glide, conair and chi suck. they break and are just a scam.

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

ok, mine is a (i think!) pro. straightener....its called "jilbere de Paris" i do believe.......anyways its REALLY good and i love it SOO much! hope i helped! :P

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

Definitely the Chi! I think it is the best thing money can buy. I have one, and it's great. The cost depends from model to model but mine cost $120. It was pink (for Breast Cancer) and came with a fantastic thermal protection spray.

They have newer models too.

Chi in my opinion is by far the best it lasts about 2-3 years (which kind of sucks) but i have heard of a couple of people that it lasted 5 years anyways it will strighten any kind of hair my best friend has really tight ringlets that are real hard to strighten and it worked awesome on hers the most she had to go over a certain piece of hair was twice. they can range from anywhere between $100-300 (depending on where you buy it) I also heard good things about Sedu from some of my friends however i know absolutely nothing about them.

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

My hair is naturally wavy, and I use a Conair big curling iron to straighten it. I blow-dry, once it is dry I spray the Aussie spray on it. Let it dry. Then I big roll my hair and I get a 'flip', and it straightens it out. My hair itself is thin, but I have A LOT of it, and this works really good for me. You can get them at Walmart, they aren't too expensive.

'I hope I helped you! ;)

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

My hairdresser told me about Maxi Glide and I've seen the cheesy infomercial but I bought it and it's really great. I have quite long hair and most of the time don't even bother to blow dry because of how much effort it takes. The Maxi Glide is really good because I'll wash my hair at night, let it air dry overnight and straighten it in the morning, it's good enough to get the toughest kinks out.

I also did a lot of research before buying the flat iron. I heard that this one works great but several people complained about some malfunctions early on. I had my for about 8 months now and it works perfect so I can't say whether that's the case. It's fairly pricey but Bed Bath and Beyond sells it so if you get those 25% off coupons in your mail it gets a lot more reasonable. So sweet of you to be looking out for your sister :)

PLEASE help with choosing a hair Straightener/Flat Iron?

get her a chi or an Infashine they go for like over a $100.00 bucks but they work the best! A smaller size paddle like a 1inch will allow her to get closer to her scalp but a 2 inch will iron more hair. you can buy them at salons or beauty supply stores. You can also try a line of products made by matrix called sleek looks. they have humidity resistant products. if you want you can call this number (209) 957-4244 and ask for Tom, Jackie or Veronica(it's probably gonna be long distance cause it's in Stockton, California but they will ship the iron and the products to you) they also make this hairspray that is the bomb and you can't buy it anywhere else. it works the best for flat ironing. You spray a little bit brush it through then iron then brush again and your hair is sleek and still soft but it holds all day! it is amazing! it's called Sir Gauuan's Classic Shiny Shape Aerosol hairspray. You can also ask for their crystal shine spray.

Does hair putty/styling paste ruin straightened hair?

I have with me some "L'oreal Paris New Studio Overworked Hair Putty" subtext "Styling Paste"

I'm wondering if using this will unstraighten my flat-ironed hair? I really want to style it kind of messy and disheveled, which it can't do on it's own (The person who flat-ironed it did a good job!)

If this will completely curl up my hair again, is there any other product, which I can find in any target/walmart, that will work for me?

Does hair putty/styling paste ruin straightened hair?

it shouldn't but only use a little dab too much will make your hair all crunchy

Does hair putty/styling paste ruin straightened hair?

I dont think it will ruin straightned hair but it might Im not sure about your hair

Are you gay by the way why would you flat iron your hair

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

My roommate is white and she straightens her between 3 and 5 times a day... Sometimes twice within 20-30 minutes. She uses a straightner called "Wet to Straight" or something like that. She washes her hair, but lets it air dry... and then like 3-4 hours comes back and blow drys it then straightens it again. I'm just curious if this is healthy, cuz I'm sure its not. I'm hoping that her hair will get really unhealthy and get really thin or something and look bad because she used my brush and left a bunch of hair in it and it really pissed me off. But honestly, in all seriousness, is this unhealthy?

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

This is madness! How does she get that much time, in the first place, to play with her hair so many times a day? Anyway, it's a surefire way to ruin one's hair.

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

yes its too much heat, in one day , the will have really bad split ends , will need to continually trim hair and good conditioner to keep healthy

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

This is veeery unhealthy for the hair.It is much too often.I used to straighten my hair once per day.I did this for one month and after that my hair looked very bad, burn and unhealthy.I used that straightener and I wasn't satisfied with my hair.Tell her to buy a straightener cream. It's very efficient.

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

Heat breacks your hair and cuases Splitends. You should relly flat iron your every week. Any more than that, you might as well perm your hair and have a wash and set. But yes that is very unhealthy and she is taking her hair for granted. She'll miss it when it's gone

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

OH MY! She seems to be a bit vain. . .Think of it this way. . .you're putting an iron on your hair. At the rate she does it, she is not just damaging her hair. SHE'S DEISTROYING IT! She shouldn't do it any more that 1-2 times max a week.

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

Your roommate is doing a little too much. too much heat will cause your hair to dry out and become dry, brittle and break off. Your only suppose to use heat type appliances no more than 2 times a week, and then add moisture to it. she is going to become really upset when she has to remove all the damage hair.

My hair won't straighten???

My layers are really thin and poofy, but the bottom is very thick. My hair has a llittle bit of curl to it, mostly around my face. When I straighten my hair it is still really poofy and the ends are still curled.

Please no answers about a better flat iron or turning up the temperature. I already have a good flat iron and the temperature can't be changed because I dye my hair and it would fry it.

Is there something I could put on my hair to help it straighten better?

My hair won't straighten???

my hair is like that too. the best thing ive found is to put on some of the sunsilk straighten up cream. it works really good and makes your hair really soft. next i blow dry my hair as straight as possible. then you have to straighten it with a pretty good straightener (i use a paul mitchell). pull you hair up on top so you only have a little thin layer still down. then you straighten that layer till it is as pin straight as possible. next, you put down the next layer and do the same. on average for my hair to be really straight it takes about 4-5 layers, but that just depends on the thickness and how straight you want your hair and how much time you have. when your hair is a straight as you like it, with all the hair still down, really slowly on the highest heat you can take about 1 inch chunks and pull the straightener through once per section. last, do a little touchup with any leftover wavy pices and then spray it down with herbal essences straight ahead finishing spray.

good luck with your straightening!!! and p.s. when your hair is done being straightened and everything, put a little of that sunsilk cream on the ends to make it extra soft!!

My hair won't straighten???

I use this stuff called

"got 2b crazy sleek, hot smooth flat iron and blow dry lotion"

you just take a shower

towel dry your hair till its like 40% dry

squirt some of that lotion in it

and then blow dry your hair

n then flat iron it

and it will look good.

it works for me

as for the curling at the bottoms

my hair used to do that

and no matter how much i straightened my hair

they wouldnt go away

so i got my hair cut

and i told the lady to flip my hair underneath

so now whenever i straighten it

the curls are gone.

My hair won't straighten???

i have hair similar to yours use Granier shampoo for hard to straighten hair it works it helps straighten it and keep it straight hope i helped! u can find it in most drugstores

My hair won't straighten???

there is a product called silkner. it will help with your flat iron. it controls frizzs and is very good for your hair with lots of vitamens. you can get in at walmart that i am sure of other places probably have it also. Not very expensive either

My hair won't straighten???

The trick to straightening hair is in the wrist. It dosen't matter how good of a tool you have if the technique isn't right. The part of the flat iron that straightens the hair is the bend and not the flat side. Try gliding the flat iron down your hair shaft at an angle. That should help. And make sure you are using something to protect your hair from the direct heat.

How can I straighten my hair without using a hair straightener?

I need a way to straighten my hair without using a hair straightener. Hair straighteners damage my hair, give my split ends and make it really dry. Is there another way to straighten my hair without using a straightener, without getting a perm or going to a salon? Best answer goes to a detailed explanation. Please name your source! How can I straighten my hair without using a hair straightener?

I have hair that is half curly and half straight and sometimes frizzy. I found that hot curlers (the bigger the better) after blowdrying regular (not pulling to straighten while drying) works best. The best kind of rollers are the velour kind. Leave them in for 5 minutes after heating up and your hair will be shiny and smoother. It will have big curls, but you can brush them out or smooth with your fingers. Conair in the purple and gray box work great. Good luck!

How can I straighten my hair without using a hair straightener?

One thing you can try is to towel dry and then finish by combing it until it dries more. Do not lay down in bed or sit back in a chair until it does dry because that will crinkle it up. Going outside in the sun also helps dry and keep your tresses straight. Take a walk after you use the towel and comb.

How can I straighten my hair without using a hair straightener?

Either Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine whole collection. or Herbal Essances Dangerously Straight system.

You might not be able to get it straight without a flat iron. But i Think If you used a blow dryer like Sedu blowdryer with a comb attachment. And use small toothed comb to comb hairs into place.

How can I straighten my hair without using a hair straightener?

cosmo says the best way to straighten your hair is the bigger the round brush you use when you blow it dry the better. There is also an entire line of frizz eaze products available at any drug or big box store. The thing about a perm if you did it at home would last longer than the other two solutions, just comb it thru and you shouldnt have curls or waves for about two weeks...maybe longer

How can I straighten my hair without using a hair straightener?

theres no way you can get it perfectly straight without straighning it/blowdrying

But theres this product I use called Sebastians ( no idea how to spell it!) flattning balm or something.. it comes in a medium size bottle that looks like a cylender and its kind of a gel but it dosnt feel gelly at all when it dries- but it makes you hair dry pretty much straight if you brush it a lot ( apply it to DAMP hair not WET)

you can get it at any beauty supply store such as Beauty Supply Outlit

ppl say after permanently straightening hair they bcm weak and dnt last for a lifetime...i personally think dat evn if dey dont remain perfectly sleek n straight dey atleast bcm more better and a little more straighter dan dey used to be before hair rebonding...

i am abt to go for it so plz suggest wht i shud do

After hair-rebonding,which lasts for abt 6mnths,does da hair bcome like dey used to be before?

hey, i don't mind the dats and deys..

hmm..hair rebonding needs total care..maybe the right procedures after you have rebonded it should be done..try asking the hairdresser treating you..:)

After hair-rebonding,which lasts for abt 6mnths,does da hair bcome like dey used to be before?

hi, i rebond my hair. Honestly, my rebonding normally last a year plus because rebonding changes the protein structure of your hair. I can tell you that rebonding doesn't straighten your hair permanently. WIth proper care, it can last a year half.. you will always outgrown your long and sleeky tresses. My friends say that at least my hair is neater after rebonding. Why not go ahead? at least your hair is neat for a year or half a year? heehee... all the best!

After hair-rebonding,which lasts for abt 6mnths,does da hair bcome like dey used to be before?

Maybe if you were able to write in english instead of using dat and dey, people would understand you.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

the thing is it takes almost 2 hours to get it straight and i haven't washed my hair exept with leave in conditioner and stuff since friday cuz i don't want my hair to curl is that gross? when my hair is curly i wash it every day but i just don't want to have to straighten my hair for 2 hours ffor a couple days.......is that gross not to wash it for 3 days? most people with curly hair told me they only wash it twice a week my hair still smells good what do you think?

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

No that is fine. I have thick curly hair too. And it also takes me about 2 hours to straighten my ahir and i am a hair stylist. But when i do straighten my hair i dont wash it for about 3-4 days. Bexause i dot want to have to go through the same process again. Well anyway No it is fine. I mean like many of the people tht comein my salon and want me to straighten thier hair ask me about if it is okay to not wash it for a few days and i always tell them it is okay. The farthest i would ever go though would be a week then i wold definetly wash it. But 3 -4 days if okay. good luck

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

Good keep up the good work we need people who have such sever problems.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

if it smells good and doesnt look/feel greasy, go for it!

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

its fine. i do that too a lot. if it starts to smell bad and you dont feel like washing it just spray it with a good-smelling hairspray

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

You're fine.

The only reason I wash my hair daily is because it is fine and really oily.

Right after I get is highlighted I wait a day or two before washing.

Lots of people in Europe don't wash daily. Americans tend to be more hung up on this than they are.

No worries, not gross at all.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

It is fine.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

Instead of doing that you could get a perm it makes it easy to strighten and when you wash it still will go back curly. All you have to do is go to a salon and ask.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

If your hair is not oily and nasty you can go on without washing it. I go weeks without washing my hair with my hair type.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

its fine, its actually quite good for your hair!

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

aww cute

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

its fine..dont worry..=] i mean unless it looks gross like all slimy and greasy than i would wash it cuz that makes your hair look even worse...,..just put some perfume in your hiar to make it smell good..dont worry just make sure it looks ok but i would wash it either tonight or tomorrow morning,,%26lt;3 AlEX

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

if its not greasy the thats fine

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

everybody's hair is different. I have to wash mine every day...you'll know when it is time to wash your hair. It'll start looking, smelling, and feeling gross.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

No it's not gross to wash it every 3 days! It really depends on your hair and sculp as to how often you wash it. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I only wash mine once every 3 days and it's fine! It just looks, feels and smells normal to me. But, like I said, everyone is different.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

I have the same problem.. But I have super thick, long curly hair and it only takes 30 minutes.. You probably need a better straightener because it did use to take me longer .. Revlon Ceramic is what I use and it's only 20 bucks at Wal-Mart. Try doing it in parts, brushing each part out then put a tiny bit of FrizzEase in each part. That'll help.. But about not washing it no.. I wait until my hair gets greasy looking to wash it again which it'll normally be straight for about 2-3 days before I wash it.. But thats also because I have oilier hair my friend can go 5 days without washing hers And I normally wash mine everyday when Its curly too... But yea I understand its a pain in the butt to straighten who wants to do it everyday.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

thats fine!i do the same thing as long as it's not greasy or smells bad.

Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

Its totally fine. take my word for it. if you want healthy hair tho, trim it off an inch evry 6 weeks and eat healthy and drink water

How to straighten very curly hair?

I find it hard to straighten my hair as it is naturally curly is there any hair products that would help relax it or help straighten it. and what is the best brush to straighten the hair with as my hair seems dry and burnt and the ends, please help me!

How to straighten very curly hair?

I also have very curly hair that I like to wear straight. What I do is wash my hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Next I work a small amount of Frizz Ease Wind Down straightening cream through my wet hair and blow dry with a large barrel shaped brush. After that I take small sections, starting with those underneath, and straighten with a flat iron.

How to straighten very curly hair?

well u need some serum or cream to protect the hair from the heat thats the burnt ends. i use head wear 24-7 damn straight straightening cream and marc daniels go straight and shiny gear defence silicon free spray. they are both good, just check out local cosmetic shops like cosmetics plus, hairhouse warehouse or priceline.

How to straighten very curly hair?

TRY USING A ROLL BRUSH A BIG ONE TO STRAIGHTEN HAIR AND IF YOUR HAIR IS LONG ,WHEN YOU WASH IT JUST CONDITION THE ENDS AND SHAMPOO SCALP WHERE OILS ARE THIS WAY YOUR HAIR WILL NOT DRY OUT.

How to straighten very curly hair?

u could also use straitners, if u get a good pari they'll cost a bit but will last u a long time! and they work really well! U stiraghten ur hair one day and th enext it will be straight!

How to straighten very curly hair?

Get a brush called a 'Paddle brush'. I have very curly hair, and this brush helps make my hair stay straight after i've used the straightners on it, as it just glides evenly through the hair. I got mine from boots, it was 鎷?.00. I know this sounds quite expensive for a brush, but it's worth it! As for the products, you can get shampoo's that make you hair straight. I have 'Sunsilk Straight and Sleek' shampoo and conditioner, and it makes a real difference to my hair, and i especially noticed a difference after using it and then blow drying my hair. You can also get gels that you apply to damp hair, and then you comb your hair as you blow dry. Hopefully these remedies will work for you!!

Good luck xxx

How to straighten very curly hair?

naturally your hair can feel dry and brittle.

depending on how damaged those ends are, you could just go to a salon for a chemical straighten.

If you are happy with the curls, then you can just get a relaxer. its a cream that is kind of like a semi permanant smoother. its gentler on the hair and will not cause so much damage.

you can use styling product, and then straighten it with a GHD, or Paul Brown Hawaii. if you dont have one it would be good to inves in a good one. a good straightening temperature would be around 210 degrees.

MAKE sure you use a heat protector !! e.g delorenzo's extinguish. thats excellent stuff.

but because you have curly hair i would recommend KMS straight thermal protector.

shampoos are important whe relaxing curls too. you could try one in wella BioTouch. its called straight!!

hope i helped.... sorry i wrote toomuch LOL

How to straighten very curly hair?

How to straighten very curly hair?

Super Anti-curl by Rusk is probably your best bet. Call your salon and ask them to order it for you. It is only available to professionals. Also, Paul Mitchell's Straight Works is a silicone-based serum that really gets rid of the "frizzies". I use it in the summer when the humidity is high and my hair wants to kink up!

My hair is curly and poofy. I straighten my hair and it gets straight, but it gets poofy. Any sugges

My hair was naturally straight. One day, since my hair is VERY thick, I decided to thin out my hair. Turns out it was the worst decision of my life. My hair got curly and poofy and I can't STAND it. I really want to try to figure a way out to keep my hair straight, but whenever I straighten it, it still gets really poofy. I think I look really pretty with straight hair but I can't do it. I'd appreciate it VERY much if someone would help me out. I use that Sunsilk shampoo for poofy hair, and use a wet-2-straight straightener, so if you have any tips on how to style it to help me straighten it or something that would be great. Thanks everyone who takes the time to read this huge message lol and thanks to everyone who tries to help me.

My hair is curly and poofy. I straighten my hair and it gets straight, but it gets poofy. Any suggestions??

I dont have a solution but it's funny how no one is happy with what they have .. i have VERY flat hair and im trying to find ways to get it poofy and u're looking for the exact oppsite !

We're so funny !

GooD LucK by the way :)

My hair is curly and poofy. I straighten my hair and it gets straight, but it gets poofy. Any suggestions??

theres a bunch of products you can use for this problem, and its really really easy. theres john freeda products and friz-ease and stuff. just go to cvs, wallgreens, wallmart, or even target or something and look in the hair product isles. you'll find something for under $10 that will work.

good luck!

ALSOOOO... [i just read the rest of your details] i have really thick straight hair, that usually doesnt get frizzy. i decided to get it thinned out and it worked for me, except when i straighten my hair when its wet. i have a straightener that says i can do that, but i never do because it makes my hair frizzy and icky. so maybe thats the problem with your hair too!

ps. i think your hair might be dry if its poofing out like this all the time, so try a new shampoo, or maybe dont wash it every day [washing your hair everyday actually isnt good for it because youre washing away the oils that keep it healthy]

My hair is curly and poofy. I straighten my hair and it gets straight, but it gets poofy. Any suggestions??

Try also using Ganier Frutis sleek and shine conditioner, soothing milk, and sleek and shine leave in conditioner. Also, shampoo and straighten your hair at night before you go to bed, then in the morning just go over it once again to get whatever you couldn't get the night before, and hairspray it to make it stay straight.

My hair is curly and poofy. I straighten my hair and it gets straight, but it gets poofy. Any suggestions??

I love my curly hair. LOVE

and a lot of people admire me for it:

here is what I do:

shampoo I use: Fructis

conditioner: Pantene

both for curly hair

after I wash my hair, when it is still wet(I only dry it a little bit with the towel but make sure it still has enough moister in it) I apply some Biolage(sp) moisturizing conditioner. and even though it is a conditioner, i leave it in and it works and my hair is healthy. Then I scrunch my hair from bottom to top using my hands(it only takes me like 10 seconds literally so don't spend a lot of time on that cause scrunching is bad for your hair)

after when it is a little bit dryer, I put in a very little bit of L.A looks dark blue gel. just a little so that it will not get frizzy. a lot is bad for your hair.

also, another thing you can do for your hair is go to a professional salon and get a peppermint treatment on your hair.. it moisterizes it and it is very good!

also, ironing your hair is bad for you. it makes it dry and that's probably why your hair is getting poofy

My hair is curly and poofy. I straighten my hair and it gets straight, but it gets poofy. Any suggestions??

hey i have the same problem! my hair is thinned and layered, but it is actually better than before. My hair is super thick and if i let it air dry without tying it up it gets huge (but its not curly, just poofy). I dont really have a solution because i dont really think there is one, but i would recommend getting a better straightener. I used to have a wet to straight and it worked well, but my hair still poofed out a lot. I have a karmin titanium straightener, but sedu, chi, and ghd are probably the best even though they are expensive. Also try olive oil and coconut oil treatments every week or two to help moisturize your hair and cut down on the poof. I also like garnier fructis better than sunsilk ( i have anti-poof and straighten up but it doesnt work well :( )........... If you really want straight hair then you might want to get your hair permenantly straightened but it can damage your hair ALOT... .well good luck and i hope i helped and if your having a bad hair day you can always try a ponytail.... Even though i hate my hair a lot of times, its better than having super thin and fragile hair. It looks healthier and many people would love to have thick hair :)

sorry this is really long and choppy but i also remembered that if you put a little bit of olive oil in your hair when its dry after a shower, it helps reduce the poof a lot and highlights can also make your hair look less thick i think

EDIT: also, here are some hairstyles you might like :)

- try scrunching (but my hair looks really bad when scrunched, but since yours is curlier it might work(

- half up half down

- ponytails with headbands or clips

- loose braid (these look good with long and thick hair :) )

- put your hair up with the pouf/quiff

- make curly pigtails (depending on how old you are)

well ya good luck.. bye

I dont recommend using a curl scrunching mouse after you straighted because it wont keep it straighter. If you want to keep your hair straight after you flat iron it, spray on a shine serum after to lock it in. good luck

How can i straighten my hair for more than one day at a time?

Im a guy...and im NOT gay, but I do like to straighten my hair because I HATE how the natural wave to it looks...i look much better with straight hair and I was wondering if there's any way to do it so that I won't have to use an iron every single day...is there such a way?

How can i straighten my hair for more than one day at a time?

yes chemical straighteners would do this..why would i think you are gay? who cares if u were!

How can i straighten my hair for more than one day at a time?

go to a salon. its relatively cheap and does about as much damage as straightening would. its sort of like getting a perm, only different chemicals and they straighten it while its on. also, since your hair is shorter, it should be pretty cheap.

How can i straighten my hair for more than one day at a time?

You can go to a salon and get a relaxer, which will leave your hair permanently straight for a few months, but it causes alot of damage and you won't like to do that. You can buy special shampoos and styling products to achieve straightness. They actually help alot, especially if your hair is only a bit curly. My favorite is the Herbal Essences DAngerously Straight collection. I use the shampoo, conditioner, styling mousse, and hairspray. Also, if you don't sweat alot and don't get your hair dirty, you can only wash your hair every other day or every few days. Wear shower caps on the days your not washing it, and your hair stays perfectly straight. That's what I do. I can buy 15 disposable shower caps for $0.97 at Walmart.

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

ok well im pretty lazy rite now so im like forcing my self to do something ... so wat shall i do first excersise or straighten my hair ... if i excersice wat exercises can i do while watching tv [[i pretty much dont have a routine, so need to start one, any help?]]

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

excersise first. then straighten your hair

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

exercise

5 situps

5 pushups

5 jumping jacks

6 situps

6 pushups

6 jumping jacks

7situps

7 pushups

7 jumping jacks

etc.

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

i say you exercise first that way if you sweat it wont frizz your hair

and do simple exercises like 15 sit ups and simple streatch3es

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

exercise then shower then do your hair. As for your exercise

start off slow. Maybe try running around the block for 10 minute. Then try just your basic wall sits for about 4 times for 30 seconds each. Then do three sets of 10 push ups taking a minute break in between. Then do about 50 sit ups. That is a pretty even routine. Gets legs, arms and tummy.

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

exericise first.

try doing step aerobics!

thats sooo fun! they make videos that go along with it so you can watch tv while your doing it!!

all you have to do is buy one of those step things!

GOOD LUCK!

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

exercise

do sit-ups and put your legs up in the air and stretch

jumping jacks, llift weights if you have them.

and than straighten your hair after.

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

excersise first then straighten ur hair because if you straighten ur hair first, it will get wet or messed up cause of the sweat or movement. what u can do is do krunches, situps, run in place, push ups, jump rope,j umping jacks, lift weights and many more.

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

do excersizeing first

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

xercise try 20 chinese situps they work both the lower muscle

and the upper abs and do 30 sqauts they really work your legs and butt, do standing leg lifts they will get your heart rate up, and make sure to stetch before and after to get your muscles to warm up and be less tense afterwords.

Should i straighten my hair or exercise first!?

well if you want to exercise while watching tv you could do:

1. Chest

Wall Push-Ups

Stand facing a wall with your feet about 1 to 2 feet back from it.

Place your hands on the wall just outside shoulder-width apart.

Bending only at the elbows, lower yourself forward towards the wall then push yourself away from it.

Keep your body stiff and straight during the movement.

2. Back

Standing Rows

These are done from a standing position.

Loop a towel around a vertical pole or column or another fixed object so that the ends of the towel are pointing towards you and the towel is wrapped around the far side of the pole.

Have your feet close up to the pole and lean back gripping on the ends of the towel and keeping your body stiff and straight.

Row yourself up with both arms.

Keep your back arched and row with your back.

3. Shoulders

Presses

Use something around the house for weight, e.g. soup cans or milk jugs with water in them.

From a seated or standing position, hold the weights just above your shoulders.

Push them up overhead slowly.

4. Legs

Squats

Place your feet about shoulder width apart.

Keeping your torso vertical and a slight arch in your lower back, start the movement by bending the knees.

Go only as far down as you feel comfortable when first starting out. If you can go down until your thighs are just below parallel, do so. This is the full range goal.

Using leg power, push yourself back up to the start position. Use your grip on the bar only for balance unless you absolutely need to pull yourself up.

As you get stronger with squats, don't use the bar anymore. When you can do good, full-range reps without the bar, you can start using weight.

For weight, use two duffel bags (evenly loaded) or two milk jugs, etc. Hold them at your sides and squat.

5. Abdominals

Crunches

Lie down flat on your back with your knees bent and your feet on the floor.

Hold your hands wherever you feel comfortable (on your chest or beside your head - just be sure you don't pull on your head).

The typical crunch is taught by instructing you to simply roll your upper torso forward. This is fine to start with.

To increase the effectiveness of the crunch movement, push your chest and head up towards the ceiling pushing your lower back flat onto the floor.

Your anatomy will automatically cause you to follow a crunching pattern.

Hold at the top of the movement for a second and squeeze hard.

6. Biceps

Curls

Stand with your knees slightly bent, arms at your sides, holding your resistance bags or two dumbells in your hands.

The curl movement happens only at the elbow. With your upper arm pinned at your side and bending only at the elbow, lift the weight up to shoulder level.

Your palm should be facing forward all the way up and all the way down.

Squeeze hard at the top then lower slowly.

Do the same with the other arm, alternating back and forth.

7. Triceps

Bench Dips

These can be done on the edge of a chair or bench.

Sit on the side edge of a flat bench or the front edge of a chair.

Place your hands on the edge of the chair right beside your glutes and grip the edge.

To start with, your feet should be flat on the floor about two feet in front of you with your knees bent.

Move yourself off the chair so you are now supporting yourself on your hands.

Bend your arms, dipping your body down. Go down only as far as you feel comfortable, being careful not to bounce out of the bottom.

Push back up, squeezing the triceps.

It is important to keep your back close to the edge of the bench as you do these to minimize shoulder stress.

When you're done the set, push yourself back onto the chair.

8. Calves

Standing Calf Raises

This exercise can be done on the edges of stairs, wood blocks, books, etc.

Do both legs at the same time to start with then, as you get stronger, do them one leg at a time.

Hold a bag in your hand for resistance as you get stronger

Stand on the edge of the block with only the balls of your feet on the block.

Keeping knees stiff and bending only at the ankles, lower your heels down towards the floor.

Go down until you feel a strong stretch in your calves.

Reverse the direction without bouncing and push up as high as you can.

Do this movement slowly to feel the contraction all the way up.

Exercise first, then that way if you feel sweaty/dirty you can take a shower then you can straighten your hair.

If i chemically straighten my hair, how long will it last?

i am going to chemically straighten my hair soon and i was wondering how long they last and how often you have to redo them. And NO i am not going to do it on my own. my cousin is going to do it. she is the best cosmotoligist i know. so don't say do not do it, your are going to mess up your hair. cus she knows what she is doing. so anyways please just answer the question thanks.

If i chemically straighten my hair, how long will it last?

If you get a thermal straighening, it will have to be redone every 3-4 months, depending on how curly your hair type is. If its really curly, like mine, I would suggest the Japanese method that only needs to be retouched every 6 months.

If you happen to have very curly hair, it may just turn it into a slight straight wave....nevertheless I think the results will come out fine.

But be warned - If anything goes wrong, like your hair getting overprocessed or starts breaking off, you will have to cut it and start all over to ensure healthy growing hair.

I hope that helps, but still ask your cosmetologist. I would recommend asking a representative from Regis or any well-known salon.

If i chemically straighten my hair, how long will it last?

It depends on what package you're going to get.

You usually have to redo it after your hair grows out a couple of inches off the top of your skull.

good luck.

If i chemically straighten my hair, how long will it last?

Ask your cousin.

If i chemically straighten my hair, how long will it last?

chemically straightening hair last the same amount of time that coloring or highlighting hair lasts, which is the grow out time.

How can I straighten my hair without using stuff that damages it, what good conditoner can you mix up at home?

How can I straighten my hair without using stuff that damages it, what good conditoner can you mix up at home?

Try flat ironing your hair, but use a spray on product like Got2b Crazy Sleek before you straight iron. Another product you can use by itself without anything else is Stick Straight Smoothing gel by Graham Webb.

How can I straighten my hair without using stuff that damages it, what good conditoner can you mix up at home?

How can I straighten my hair without using stuff that damages it, what good conditoner can you mix up at home?

blow dry your hair straight. but work as quickly as possible as to not damage it with too much heat. use a wide barrel brush as you run the blow dryer through.

canned coconut milk is a great conditioner and smells so good as well!

put it in roots through ends and wrap your hair in a towel for 10-15 minutes. rinse and shampoo. airdry.

Chemaically straighten hair?

ok i want to get my hair chemically striaghtened but i also want to get red streaks in it...would i be able to get it all done in one day or would that be to much harm to my hair at once?

Chemaically straighten hair?

For my opinion,I think you should chemichally straighten

first, then add the red streaks because it can really damage your hair if you put the red streaks in when your hair

is recently straightened. Plus it will have chemicals that can mix with the color and make your hair frizzy and puffy.

Chemaically straighten hair?

ooooomg

nneeeeever

dye and chemically straighten your hair EVER

you ahve to wait at least a year between.

get the read streaks(although i suggest mixing it with auburn and dark brown streaks as well to blend it better) and not the chemically straightening

you can always straighten your hair and the streaks could even look better with your natural hiar...

that is if your gerry spice

hah

plus chemically straightening your hiar makes it look realllly gross and fried my friend did it and her hair is completely unmanagble

hope you figure it outt

Chemaically straighten hair?

maybe. or you could wait 2 weeks. the straightening comes first though

Chemaically straighten hair?

it might not harm your hair too much, but if i were you i would do one at a time, and use a deep conditioning product in your hair 2 times a week so it doesnt get too damaged.

Chemaically straighten hair?

b4 you do any chemical treatment, make sure do deep conditioning treatments few weeks b4...

then depending on condition of hair, do the chemical treatment 1st...leave it for a few weeks, do more treatments, then colour ur hair..but again make sure your hair is strong enough to handle it and always get a professional opinion b4 you go thro with it all. also...make sure u go to the salon for the chemical straightening...

as for the conditionin treatments...use a RECONSTRUCTOR as this helps repair the hair after its been damaged and use a leave in conditioner

What's a good buy on a hair straightener formula?

I would like to do the proccess of straightening my hair at home like they do at the beauty shop, and I need to find a good product but one that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg.

I have ultra frizzy hair, and at the beauty shop they have to use african american hair products on me to get the job done. So, i need something strong.

Anyone got any good tips too? On how to straighten hair even without a formula. Or, if you know of any good products that would help.

Thanks in advance!

What's a good buy on a hair straightener formula?

Chemically straightened hair kinda like a perm?

does it smell REALLY bad like a perm and can you wash your hair the next day? im getting my hair chemically strightened tommarow and would like to know what to expect?

Chemically straightened hair kinda like a perm?

I couldn't wash mine for about 4-5 days and it don't smell bad.

Chemically straightened hair kinda like a perm?

No it doesn't I get it done too

Chemically straightened hair kinda like a perm?

No, it doesn't. But you probably shouldn't wash your hair right away because that might undo the straightening. I'm sure your stylist will tell you how to maintain it.

Can you straighten your hair with an at home straightener after you get a body wave?

Ok i am going to get a body wave perm and i was wondering if i could straighten my hair when i want to with my normal straightener!!

Can you straighten your hair with an at home straightener after you get a body wave?

Well you need to ask your hair stylist for sure, I do know that you will have to wait a little while before you do use anything like that. I wouldn't use the at home hair straightener kits with the cream and conditioner but a flat iron would work.

Can you straighten your hair with an at home straightener after you get a body wave?

not unless you want it to fall out

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

wen i straighten my hair, it makes my hair very shiny then before...i want to make nice soft curls by usin curlers...but how can i get my hair to shine wen usin them?...my hair is very dull nd bushy, thats why i straighten them...but if i straighten my hair b4 usin the curlers, wud the curls still last long?

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

my hair is naturally curly but when i want bigger curls...i straighten it first. be sure to use a good conditioner and heat activated products so you don't damage your hair too much from all of the heat.

good luck and happy curling!

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

Yes, what you want to do will work. I have the same issue - dry, thirsty looking hair naturally, but shiny, very nice hair when I flat iron it. I usually flat iron it and then put hot rollers in it. It will create nice loose curls.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

To make your hair shiny you can use a hair polisher or a hair sheen. As long as you give your hair enough time for the curls to set it shuld be ok.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

no no no no no. That definitely does not work! At least on my hair it doesn't. Which is weird because I even have a natural curl.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

well maybe if you ever go to your hair place you can ask your hair dresser what they think they could probly give you some advice on witch shampoo or conditioner will help.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

yes the curls would last longer, and look wayyyy better try using hair lotion or grease and that will make it shine...and u can use hairspray to make the curls stay

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

you can use the garnier fructis curling spray [:

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

Yes, It looks good that way. Trust me i do the same thing.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

i think that it would be fine to straiten it b4 you put in curlors.but remember don`t use to much hair spray

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

Yes you can.

I have really straight hair and nothing stays in, curls etc.....

i use the flat iron, b4 i put my curlers and it actually helps keep them.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

while straighten your hair use a oil moisturizing. To get your shine.Yes the curls last longer. And use a Holden hair spray.

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

no they wony stay for long and actually ill be harder to get them nice curl, trust me i tried it before and it doesnt work, to get your hair to be shinny when you use yor curlers i recommend SILK THERAPY you coul find it where they sell beauty supplies like sallys

Can i straighten my hair b4 i put it in curlers?

if its the style i think u want try straightening the top half of yur hair and then curl the lower half in rollers. if you straighten all of it then it wont hold curl. also try some Paul Mitchell skinny serum. that stuff feels GREAT n yur hair!

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

Just wondering, i have naturally curly hair. Every time i ask one of my friends why they straighten their hair, they say, " Because it gets curly if i don't". Then, some people say to me, " I Love your curly hair! I wish mine were curly." If you know why, is there any thing you want to share?

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

For me, I have weird curly hair - not cute ringlets like my curly haired friend, but heavy waves, especially in the back but in the front it stays pretty strait. When I try to wear it curly it looks really bad - like I have bed head or didn't brush it out right. I'm assuming thats probably the kind of curliness that your friends have too. If I had ringlets I'd wear those curly.

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

Well it depends on if you have that hair.

my hair is curly/wavy, and I always straighten it. I personally hate it that way so I straighten it.

People with straight or wavy hair may want curly hair because they like it. Yet it's not the way they're hair is.

The grass is always greener on the other side.

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

no clue

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

I have straight hair. And I love it. But yet, sometimes I want a difference for my hair. When I curl my hair, it just doesn't really fit with my look or blend in with the rest of me. So, that's my reason why. There could be plenty of other reasons.

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

Sometimes, you want your hair to be a certain way, but then you want it to be another way. I mean, I have straight hair, ad sometimes, I wish I could have the beautiful wavy hair some girls have, but I love my straight hair.

And it's a good thing people invented curling irons too, because sometimes, I want curly hair. Lol!

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

cause straightening is so much easier than curling your hair

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

i have wavy curly hair

and i just started loving it.

i used to straighten it everyday

because i didnt know how to wear my natural curls.

Recently, i learned to have waves and curls and still

have manageable hair.

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

I dont get that either...I have extremely strait hair, and i never straighten it. All my friends straighten theirs and they are like....you have great straight hair! but yet they think i should straighten it to make it more straight. I just dont get it. If i dont straighten it, at least it has a little bounce...plus heat damages.

Straight hair is probably good for me, since curls can be harder to maintain...but it gets boring sometimes. Curly hair is prettier, i think, but i'll live with mine.

I'm sorry I couldnt be more help. I dont get it either.

Why do strait haired girls straighten their hair if they love curly hair so much?

my hair is wavy, and i hate it straight. straight hair is flat and boring, everyone has it. i love curling it to get nice, soft curls with lots of body. i am in love with big, beautiful curls
