chemical straigtenings never come out of the treated hair, but the roots that grow out after treatment arent going to be straight. chemical straightening is extremely damaging to your hair, and wont give you that pin-straight look. chemical straightening is ment for people with really poofy or curly hair (think afro or albert einstein). it doesnt really have an effect on people with a little poof or unwanted volume.

I think, if you get it done proffessionally (beware of the 鎷?00 price tag) it will last up to 6/7 months. Buy the 鎷?2.99 kit from boots and it will probably look half straight and last for about 2 weeks.

Chemical straightening makes hair appear incredibly shiny, not my taste to be honest, the hair also tends to 'stick' to the head, like you've greased it down flat almost. Personally I think hair looks nice with a bit of bounce and volume.
